R8RISK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to join our team. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CLO will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance and oversight to the organization. The CLO will have a strong foundation in the legal profession, with a track record of success in a senior legal leadership role. You will have a deep understanding of business law and regulation, and will be able to translate complex legal concepts into actionable strategies for the organization. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all legal activities of the organization, including compliance, risk management, contracts, and litigation Develop and implement legal strategies to support the long-term growth and stability of the organization Manage legal risks and opportunities, ensuring the organization is well-positioned to take advantage of new opportunities and to mitigate legal risks Lead the development of legal policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and best practices Collaborate with other members of the executive leadership team to develop and execute business strategies Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and other members of the leadership team on legal matters Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in a related field such as law, business, or finance Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required 10+ years of experience in a legal leadership role, with a strong track record of success Strong understanding of business law and regulation Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable strategies Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Experience: Admittance to the bar in at least one state is required Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus
